    traṇa sāthē jāya tō thāya trēkhaḍa nē māthē paḍē bhēkhaḍa

    Three of them setting out together is one too many.

  114. ત્રાંસી આંખે બે ચંદ્ર દેખાય.

    trāṁsī āṁkhē bē caṁdra dēkhāya.

    A biased, flawed, or crooked perspective causes a person to see things double or completely misinterpret reality.

  115. ત્રશે નર તો વસાવશે ઘર.

    traśē nara tō vasāvaśē ghara.

    Cooperation among a few people can build a stable life.

  116. ત્રેવડ એટલે ત્રીજો ભાઈ

    trēvaḍa ēṭalē trījō bhāī

    Careful management counts as another earner in the house.

  117. ત્રીજો મૂર્ખ તે વ્હેન ઘેર ભાઈ, ચોથા મૂર્ખ તે ઘરજમાઈ.

    trījō mūrkha tē vhēna ghēra bhāī, cōthā mūrkha tē gharajamāī.

    Living off the hospitality of one's sister or wife's family is a highly undignified and foolish position.

  118. તુજે પરાઈ ક્યા પડી, તું આપકી નિવડ;

    tujē parāī kyā paḍī, tuṁ āpakī nivaḍa;

    One should mind their own business and resolve their own problems instead of interfering in the affairs of others.

  119. તુલસી આ સંસારમેં, પંચ રત્ન હે સાર;

    tulasī ā saṁsāramēṁ, paṁca ratna hē sāra;

    Devotion to God, the company of saints, compassion, charity, and benevolence are the most valuable virtues in human life.

  120. તુલસી બાંહે સપુતકી, સપનેમેં આ જાય;

    tulasī bāṁhē saputakī, sapanēmēṁ ā jāya;

    A dutiful and noble child provides comfort and support to their parents under any circumstances, even in spirit.

  121. તુલસી ધીરજ જો ધરે, કુંજર મણભર ખાય;

    tulasī dhīraja jō dharē, kuṁjara maṇabhara khāya;

    Patience and trust in God bring abundant sustenance, whereas restlessness and desperation lead to a miserable, dog-like existence.

  122. તુલસી ધીરજ મન ધરે, હાથી મણભર ખાય;

    tulasī dhīraja mana dharē, hāthī maṇabhara khāya;

    God provides sustenance for everyone, even those with the largest appetites, so one should not worry about basic survival.

  123. તુલસી જગમેં આયકે, કર લીજે દો કામ;

    tulasī jagamēṁ āyakē, kara lījē dō kāma;

    The two essential duties of human life are charity to the needy and devotion to God.

  124. તુલસી જગમેં આયકે, સીખ ઉસીકી લે;

    tulasī jagamēṁ āyakē, sīkha usīkī lē;

    Advises learning from the sugarcane, which returns sweetness even to those who crush or harm it.

  125. તુલસી જાકે મુખમેં, ભુલે નિકસે રામ;

    tulasī jākē mukhamēṁ, bhulē nikasē rāma;

    One should deeply revere and serve anyone who utters the name of God, even unintentionally.

  126. તુલસી કહે છે સુમ ધન, નવ ખરચે નવ ખાય;

    tulasī kahē chē suma dhana, nava kharacē nava khāya;

    A miser's hoarded wealth is useless to him, as he never enjoys it and eventually loses it to others.

  127. તુલસી કશું ન જઇએ, અપને બાપકે ગામ;

    tulasī kaśuṁ na jaiē, apanē bāpakē gāma;

    Visiting one's native place or relatives too often leads to a loss of respect and dignity.

  128. તુલસી નીજ કીર્તિ ચહે, પરકી કીર્તિ ધોય;

    tulasī nīja kīrti cahē, parakī kīrti dhōya;

    Those who try to build their own reputation by slandering others only end up bringing disgrace upon themselves.

  129. તુલસી પંછીનકે પીએ, ઘટે ન સરિતા નીર; ધર્મ કરે ધન ના ઘટે, સહાય કરે રઘુવીર.

    tulasī paṁchīnakē pīē, ghaṭē na saritā nīra; dharma karē dhana nā ghaṭē, sahāya karē raghuvīra.

    Assures that giving to charity will never deplete one's wealth, as divine grace will always replenish it.

  130. તુલસી પરધર જાયકે, દુઃખ ન કહીએ રાય;

    tulasī paradhara jāyakē, duḥkha na kahīē rāya;

    One should not share their troubles with strangers or outsiders, as it only lowers one's dignity without offering any help.

  131. તુલસી રઘુબીર અંક બિન, સાધન તો સબ શૂન્ય;

    tulasī raghubīra aṁka bina, sādhana tō saba śūnya;

    All religious rituals and efforts are worthless unless they are backed by genuine devotion to God, which gives them value.

  132. તુલસી સબ જગ જુઠ હય, સચ સાહેબકા નામ;

    tulasī saba jaga juṭha haya, saca sāhēbakā nāma;

    All worldly things are illusory and temporary, and only the divine is eternal and real.

  133. તુલસી સીતારામકું, રીઝ ભજે કે ખીજ;

    tulasī sītārāmakuṁ, rījha bhajē kē khīja;

    Any form of remembrance of God, whether done willingly or unwillingly, bears spiritual fruit just as seeds sown upside down still grow.

  134. તુલસી સોહી ચતુરતા, રામ ચરણ લે લીન;

    tulasī sōhī caturatā, rāma caraṇa lē līna;

    True wisdom lies in devotion to God, whereas worldly cleverness is superficial and deceptive.

  135. તુલસી તલપત કાયકુ, રજક મોત સબ સાથ;

    tulasī talapata kāyaku, rajaka mōta saba sātha;

    One should not worry about survival or mortality, as both are predetermined by God.

  136. તુલસી વહાં ન જઇએ, જ્યાં ન કહે કે આવ; ઘાસ ખરાબર જાણીએ, ક્યા રાજા ક્યા રાવ.

    tulasī vahāṁ na jaiē, jyāṁ na kahē kē āva; ghāsa kharābara jāṇīē, kyā rājā kyā rāva.

    One should never visit a place where one is not welcome or respected, regardless of the host's status.

  137. તુલસી વિલંબ ન કીજીએ, લે તું હરિકા નામ;

    tulasī vilaṁba na kījīē, lē tuṁ harikā nāma;

    One should not postpone devotion, as God will surely reward sincere spiritual effort just as a master pays his laborer.

  138. તુલસી યહિ તિન લોકમેં, કા જાને તન પીર;

    tulasī yahi tina lōkamēṁ, kā jānē tana pīra;

    Only one's own heart or God can truly understand one's inner suffering.

  139. તુમ તુમેરી સંભાળીઓ મેં મેરી ફોડતા હું.

    tuma tumērī saṁbhāḷīō mēṁ mērī phōḍatā huṁ.

    Mind your own business and I will mind mine.

  140. તુંબડીમાં કાંકરા

    tuṁbaḍīmāṁ kāṁkarā

    All the rattle of something full and none of the contents.

  141. તુંબડુ તરે ને તારે.

    tuṁbaḍu tarē nē tārē.

    Said of a wise, virtuous, or capable person who successfully navigates life's troubles and helps others do the same.

  142. તુંબડું તરે ને તારે.

    tuṁbaḍuṁ tarē nē tārē.

    A virtuous or strong person not only saves themselves but also uplifts and rescues others.

  143. તું દરિયા હમ ચીરીઆં, ચાંચ ભર જો પીવે;

    tuṁ dariyā hama cīrīāṁ, cāṁca bhara jō pīvē;

    God's abundance is infinite, and a devotee's small needs do not diminish His vastness in the slightest.

  144. તું જાણે હર દૂર હય, પણ હર હય હીરદામાંહી;

    tuṁ jāṇē hara dūra haya, paṇa hara haya hīradāmāṁhī;

    God is always close to us, but our own inner deceit and ignorance prevent us from realizing His presence.

  145. તું કાણુ ને હું કાણુ એ એકલપેટાનું કામ.

    tuṁ kāṇu nē huṁ kāṇu ē ēkalapēṭānuṁ kāma.

    Only a selfish person keeps strict accounts of who owes what to whom.

  146. તું મુવાને તે કોણ ને હું મુવાને તે કોણ ?

    tuṁ muvānē tē kōṇa nē huṁ muvānē tē kōṇa ?

    We are both strangers to this situation, so why should we care?

  147. તુને દુઃખ ઉપજે ત્યારે તારા કરતાં કોઇ વધારે દુઃખીને જોઇ સંતોષ પકડજે.

    tunē duḥkha upajē tyārē tārā karatāṁ kōi vadhārē duḥkhīnē jōi saṁtōṣa pakaḍajē.

    Perspective on others' suffering can help alleviate one's own.

  148. તુને દુશમનો ઉભા કરવા હોય તો પ્રખ્યાત થા.

    tunē duśamanō ubhā karavā hōya tō prakhyāta thā.

    Success and fame inevitably attract jealousy and enemies.

  149. તુને સાલે બેટડા, મને સાલે ધા.

    tunē sālē bēṭaḍā, manē sālē dhā.

    Said to show that each person is preoccupied with and tormented by their own unique troubles and pain.

  150. તુને શુધ નહી ને મને શુધ નહી.

    tunē śudha nahī nē manē śudha nahī.

    Both parties are equally ignorant or confused about the situation.

  151. તુંજ પોતાને પીછાન.

    tuṁja pōtānē pīchāna.

    Self-awareness is the most important form of knowledge.

  152. તુરને ચીંતા ઘણી, મુરખને નહી લાજ, સર અવસર જાણે નહી, પેટ ભરવાસે કાજ.

    turanē cīṁtā ghaṇī, murakhanē nahī lāja, sara avasara jāṇē nahī, pēṭa bharavāsē kāja.

    Sense costs you peace of mind; stupidity is spared it.

  153. તુરત દાન મહા પુણ્ય.

    turata dāna mahā puṇya.

    Good deeds should be performed without delay.

  154. તુટયા ફુટયા સાંઘે, બે બાઇડીએ વર હાથે રાંધે.

    tuṭayā phuṭayā sāṁghē, bē bāiḍīē vara hāthē rāṁdhē.

    Having double the resources or assistance still yields no help when no one takes responsibility.

  155. તુટયા ફુટયા સાંઘે, એ બાઈડીએ વર હાથે રાંધે.

    tuṭayā phuṭayā sāṁghē, ē bāīḍīē vara hāthē rāṁdhē.

    Said of a wife who neglects her core household duties and her husband while wasting time on trivial or external matters.

  157. તાકા જીવન સફલ હે, કહત “અકબર”શાહી.

  162. તમારામાં ખાય તે ઢેડા

    tamārāmāṁ khāya tē ḍhēḍā

  163. તમારે વીરે સાળ નથી વાળી, ઘઉંમાં ગેરુ આવ્યા રાજ, નણુંદ પરોણુલાં રે.

    tamārē vīrē sāḷa nathī vāḷī, ghauṁmāṁ gēru āvyā rāja, naṇuṁda parōṇulāṁ rē.

  164. ‘ તમે તો એની પાઘડી લઈ લીધી.’

    ‘ tamē tō ēnī pāghaḍī laī līdhī.’

  165. તન ભર સુના પહેરતી, ગલે મોતીકા હાર;

    tana bhara sunā pahēratī, galē mōtīkā hāra;

  166. 'તન દે મન લે' શ્રમ કરશે તો મન ચઢશે.

    'tana dē mana lē' śrama karaśē tō mana caḍhaśē.

  167. તન તાપ છનકું નહીં, ન માયા મોહ સંતાપ; હરણ શૌક આશા નહીં, સો હરિજન હર આપ.

    tana tāpa chanakuṁ nahīṁ, na māyā mōha saṁtāpa; haraṇa śauka āśā nahīṁ, sō harijana hara āpa.

  168. તનકર મનકર બચકર, કાહુકુ દુઃખવત નાંહી;

    tanakara manakara bacakara, kāhuku duḥkhavata nāṁhī;

  169. તનકર મનકર બચનકર, દેત ન કોકું દુઃખ;

    tanakara manakara bacanakara, dēta na kōkuṁ duḥkha;

  170. તનકર મનકર બચનકર, હેત ન કોકું દુઃખ;

    tanakara manakara bacanakara, hēta na kōkuṁ duḥkha;

  171. તનકર મનકર ખચકર, કાહુકે દુઃખવત નાંહી;

  174. તનકું જોગી સબ કરે, મનકા કરે ન કોય; મનકું જોગી જો કરે, સો ગુરૂ બાલક હોપ.

    tanakuṁ jōgī saba karē, manakā karē na kōya; manakuṁ jōgī jō karē, sō gurū bālaka hōpa.

  175. તનની તૃષ્ણા સહેજ છે, સવા શેર કે શેર;

    tananī tr̥ṣṇā sahēja chē, savā śēra kē śēra;

  176. તને વદતી બાવન વીર, નોંધણ નવ સોરઠના ધણી;

    tanē vadatī bāvana vīra, nōṁdhaṇa nava sōraṭhanā dhaṇī;

  177. તંક જાણવા વગર હસવું ન આવે.

    taṁka jāṇavā vagara hasavuṁ na āvē.

  178. તણુખા તોએ આગના, ભાંગી તોએ ભરૂચ.

    taṇukhā tōē āganā, bhāṁgī tōē bharūca.

  179. તરણે તરણે મુધરી, આદરજેન ધરાં;

    taraṇē taraṇē mudharī, ādarajēna dharāṁ;

  180. તરસી માનાસાહ, તેને પાવા નીકળ્યા;

    tarasī mānāsāha, tēnē pāvā nīkaḷyā;

  181. તરસી માનાસાઇ, તેને પાવા નીકળ્યો;

    tarasī mānāsāi, tēnē pāvā nīkaḷyō;

  182. તરે તરણ ને તુંબડું, તરે ગાય ને વહાણ; તરે ભાગ્યશાળીનું પુણ્ય, ન તરે પાપી ને પહાણ.

    tarē taraṇa nē tuṁbaḍuṁ, tarē gāya nē vahāṇa; tarē bhāgyaśāḷīnuṁ puṇya, na tarē pāpī nē pahāṇa.

  183. તારે વૈરી કાઈ નહીં, તારે વૈરી ફયેલ;

    tārē vairī kāī nahīṁ, tārē vairī phayēla;

  184. તારો નાચ બતાવની ?

    tārō nāca batāvanī ?

  185. તસંમી લઇને હાથ, ઘેવટા ચોરે કરે;

    tasaṁmī lainē hātha, ghēvaṭā cōrē karē;

  186. તાતે યહાં વા પરલોકમેં, પ્રેમ બિના નહીં ઓાર;

    tātē yahāṁ vā paralōkamēṁ, prēma binā nahīṁ ōāra;

  187. તાવ, તામસ ને તલાટી, એ ત્રણ ગયાં લલાં.

    tāva, tāmasa nē talāṭī, ē traṇa gayāṁ lalāṁ.

  188. તે હારે કેમ? છ મહિનાની મુદત પૂરી થઈ એટલે અમીરે વાણિયાને પકડ્યો— બોલ બનિયા, તેરી મૂછ નીચી કે ઊંચી! ઊંચી બોલેગા તો લડના પડેગા...’ વાણિયા ગાંડો-ઘેલો થઈ ગયો. બોલ્યા— ‘મિયાં સાહેબ! તમે આ શું બોલ્યા? અમે તો વાણિયા; લડતાં અમને ન આવડે. હ્યો,’ અમીર આ મૂછ એકંક વાર નહિ પણ સાડી સાત વાર નીચી...નીચી...’ કહીને વાણિયાએ પોતાની મૂછને નીચે વાળી દીધી.

    tē hārē kēma? cha mahinānī mudata pūrī thaī ēṭalē amīrē vāṇiyānē pakaḍyō— bōla baniyā, tērī mūcha nīcī kē ūṁcī! ūṁcī bōlēgā tō laḍanā paḍēgā...’ vāṇiyā gāṁḍō-ghēlō thaī gayō. bōlyā— ‘miyāṁ sāhēba! tamē ā śuṁ bōlyā? amē tō vāṇiyā; laḍatāṁ amanē na āvaḍē. hyō,’ amīra ā mūcha ēkaṁka vāra nahi paṇa sāḍī sāta vāra nīcī...nīcī...’ kahīnē vāṇiyāē pōtānī mūchanē nīcē vāḷī dīdhī.

  189. તે પરને હાથ જાય, સાચું સોરઠીઓ ભણે.

    tē paranē hātha jāya, sācuṁ sōraṭhīō bhaṇē.

  190. તેછ ચમકે ચાણુકૈં, ટુંકારે રાજપુત;

    tēcha camakē cāṇukaiṁ, ṭuṁkārē rājaputa;

  191. તેહી મુહે પનહી (ખાસડાંનો માર)

    tēhī muhē panahī (khāsaḍāṁnō māra)

  192. તેજી ચમકે ચાબુકે, હુંકારે રાજપુત;

    tējī camakē cābukē, huṁkārē rājaputa;

  193. તેમણે એના જવાના માર્ગ પર સોનામહોરોથી

    tēmaṇē ēnā javānā mārga para sōnāmahōrōthī

  194. તેં તો રંગ રાખ્યો છે !

    tēṁ tō raṁga rākhyō chē !

  195. તેને તેમાં રસ પડે, જેને જેપર ભાવ;

    tēnē tēmāṁ rasa paḍē, jēnē jēpara bhāva;

  196. તેને વાહાલે સહાય, સાચું સોરઠીઓ ભણે.

    tēnē vāhālē sahāya, sācuṁ sōraṭhīō bhaṇē.

  197. તેને વિચાર આવ્યો કે, આંધળાએ કેવી રીતે

    tēnē vicāra āvyō kē, āṁdhaḷāē kēvī rītē

  198. તેનું ખાનદાન નામીચું ગણાય, પણ નામીયાં નદાનમાં નાલાએક પૂરજ દ્વેથી તેની ફીરતી દુખે.

    tēnuṁ khānadāna nāmīcuṁ gaṇāya, paṇa nāmīyāṁ nadānamāṁ nālāēka pūraja dvēthī tēnī phīratī dukhē.

  199. તીખા તુરી ન પલાણીઆ, અવસર ખગ ન લગ;

    tīkhā turī na palāṇīā, avasara khaga na laga;

  200. તીર્થ ગયે નીચ જન, ચિત્ત ચંચલ મન ઘેર;

    tīrtha gayē nīca jana, citta caṁcala mana ghēra;
