સંતાન વગર ઘર સુનું.

saṁtāna vagara ghara sunuṁ.

Children bring life, joy, and completeness to a household.

સંતનકે મન ભય રહે, ભય ઘર કરે બિચાર;

saṁtanakē mana bhaya rahē, bhaya ghara karē bicāra;

Holy people live in constant, reverent awe of God, which keeps them from straying from the righteous path.

સંતાપથી સુખ ઘટે.

saṁtāpathī sukha ghaṭē.

Anxiety is the enemy of contentment.

સાંઠે બુદ્ધિ નાઠી

sāṁṭhē buddhi nāṭhī

Said when age has taken the sense along with everything else.

સાંતી સવારમાં જાણુછ પણ જોડતા નથી;
