સાંજ પડે દિન આયમે, ચકવી બેઠી રાય; ચલે ચકવા જાયએ, જહાં રેન ન પડતી હોય.

sāṁja paḍē dina āyamē, cakavī bēṭhī rāya; calē cakavā jāyaē, jahāṁ rēna na paḍatī hōya.

Literally
As evening falls at the end of the day, the female ruddy sheldrake sits and weeps; 'Come, male sheldrake, let us go where night never falls.'
