સુકા લાકડાનો જીવડો, તેને સાહેબ વગર કોણ પાણી પાય, ધરધણી જાણે હું રળું છું તે સૌ ખાય.

sukā lākaḍānō jīvaḍō, tēnē sāhēba vagara kōṇa pāṇī pāya, dharadhaṇī jāṇē huṁ raḷuṁ chuṁ tē sau khāya.
