śravaṇa sukhārē hēta haya, sunē saṁdēśana baina; tr̥pti hōya kyuṁ daraśa bina, rūpa ahārī naina.

Literally: The ears are pleased with love when they hear messages and words; but how can there be satisfaction without sight, when the eyes feed on beauty?
