sārā jōdhanē sātha, gāmatarē nīkaḷyāṁ; na karyō lāṁbō hātha, muṁjhāṇāṁ bahu māvalā.

Literally: Setting out for another village in the company of a good warrior; they did not stretch out their hand, and the poor followers were much perplexed.
