pārakā dharamā śrīmaṁta thavā karatāṁ pōtānā dharamā garība rahēvuṁ bhaluṁ-dharama tyāga karatāṁ śarīra tyāga (maraṇa) vadhārē sārūṁ.

Literally: Rather than becoming rich in someone else's house, it is better to remain poor in one's own house - abandoning the body (death) is better than abandoning religion.
