ઓરડીના કાંટા આડા કરડે, ઉભા કરડે, કરડે કુટી નાંખ્યા, ઓરડીના કાંટા એ તો ગુણ્ટે બાળી નાંખ્યા.

ōraḍīnā kāṁṭā āḍā karaḍē, ubhā karaḍē, karaḍē kuṭī nāṁkhyā, ōraḍīnā kāṁṭā ē tō guṇṭē bāḷī nāṁkhyā.

Literally: The thorns of the room bite sideways, bite upright, bite and crush; those thorns of the room were burnt in the fireplace.
