nārī pūchata sumakuṁ, kahāṁsē badana malīna; kahāṁ gāṁṭhasē gīra pakṣō, kahāṁ kāukuṁ dīna.

Literally: The woman asks the miser: why is your face so dark? Did money fall from your purse, or did you give something to someone?
What it means: A miser looks deeply distressed whenever any thought of spending or losing money arises.
