નફટ મેહેમાન તેવા જ ઘરધણી હોય તે વિષે. મેહેમાન આવ્યા, મળ્યા, બેઠા એટલે ઘરધણી બોલે છે, “ભાઈ જમીને આવ્યા છે, માટે પાણીનો લોટા લાવો.” મેહેમાન બોલ્યા, “માંહે દાતણ નાખતાં આવજો.” મેહેમાન આવ્યા, એટલે ઘરધણીએ રોટલા ઘડી તાવડીમાં નાખ્યો, તે વખતે બોલ્યો. “ચડ રોટી ચાર માસ.” એટલે મેહેમાન બોલ્યો, “બેસ ગાં— બાર માસ.” હસતાંએ પરોણા, ને રાતાંએ પરોણા, આવ્યા છે તે ખાધા વગર કાંઈ જશે?
