લેનેકું હરનામ હૈ, દેનેકું અન્નદાન; તીરનેકું આધીનતા, ખુડનકું અભિમાન.

lēnēkuṁ haranāma hai, dēnēkuṁ annadāna; tīranēkuṁ ādhīnatā, khuḍanakuṁ abhimāna.

Literally: To take, there is the name of God; to give, there is the donation of food; to cross over, there is humility; to drown, there is pride.
What it means: Humility leads to salvation and success, while pride leads to downfall and ruin.
