kasabīnē hāthē maravuṁ sāruṁ, paṇa aṇakasabīnē hāthē jīvavuṁ khāṭuṁ.

Literally: It is better to die at the hands of a skilled craftsman, but bitter to live at the hands of an unskilled one.
