છલડીમાં જવાબ, સાચું સોરઠીઓ લઘે.
ઉપજવે અનુરાગ, કાયલ મન હર્ષિત કરે;
કડવા લાગે કાગ, રસનાના ગુણ રાખવા.
પોપટ કાયલ બોલ, થોડા પણ લાગે લસે;
ઘણા ગુમાવે તોલ, બહુ બોલીને મેડકાં.
