cāhē pāyā prēmarasa, rākhā cāhē māna; ēka myānamēṁ dō khaḍaga, dēkhyā sunā na kāna.

Literally: To wish to taste the nectar of love, and also wish to maintain one's pride; two swords in one scabbard have never been seen or heard of.
What it means: True love requires complete surrender of the ego, as pride and love cannot coexist in the same person.
