bāvā vācharū vāḷaśē ? tō kahē, bāpanāṁ nathī vāḷyāṁ tō tārāṁ śuṁ vāḷīē ?

Literally: Will the ascetic turn back the calves? He says, 'I did not turn back my father's, so why turn back yours?'
